So the last two days (Thursday and Friday) were heavy travel days as we are in the home stretch of South Africa and must arrive in Jo'Burg by Saturday. The drive from Bulungula to Kokstad, South Africa was 8 hours with a short stop for lunch. We spent the night in Kokstad at a nice B and B style lodge called The Old Orchard. The owners were lovely people who had many questions about our trip. We chatted with them and ate well.

After a hearty breakfast on Friday morning, we headed out for the Drakesberg Mountains. The 6 hour drive provided beautiful scenery and a much less traveled road which made this Kathy's favorite (or least hated) of all the drives thus far.
The Drakesberg Mountains are a World Heritage Site for good reason.
We spent last night at the Inkosana Lodge. Unfortunately, we have to leave today as we have one more lengthy drive ahead. We will have to return at a later date because one could spend weeks exploring this mountain range.
Tonight we plan to attend a Kaizer Chiefs game at FNB Stadium in Jo'Burg. FNB Stadium holds 95,000 people and we are told that a Saturday night game will be a spectacle. The Chiefs play in the Premier League and are South Africa's most followed team. The fan base also extends to Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia.
We will be thinking of all of our soccer buddies while taking in the game tonight. The Chiefs couldn't take this crew.
